François Morin
I see the web as a platform bridging the real world to the virtual world. I wish to contribute to the tools required to bring the user experience further and make it more memorable. The web is in motion and constantly redefining itself. Therefore, the developer should always challenge himself by exploring new technologies.

The Web. So many toys, so little time. We're all kids in this ultimate playground. The planet though, is still not small enough. So much yet to discover and to forget. Lets shrink it some more for the global conversation. That's a journey I wanna be part of... one bug at a time.

About Brazen

Brazen is an idea Frank and Mike got started early Fall 2009. The two had met about a year earlier and realized that they shared similar thoughts about the Web, programming, technology in general and most things related. They also realized that in areas where they differed, the contrast was more complementary than antagonistic and the broader perspective could be leveraged to let emerge better solutions.

Brazen defines itself as a workshop, a lab of sort. Like most web memes, the word lab is often abused. We don’t care as much about the name tag as we do about the idea, because it is a central part of our little enterprise’s identity.

Programmers are often thought of as machines that input coffee and output code (note to self, we need a coffee machine). First and foremost, they’re curious individuals, intrigued by technology. Brazen was founded around the inherent idea that artistry and exploration should not be confined to texture, shapes and colors, there can be beauty and finesse in logic. We wanted a place where programmers are encouraged to nurture their skills, venture in new areas, experiment with fresh ideas. We feel that this is the best path toward growth and excellence. We’ve all seen the motivational posters, “try, fail, learn…” and all that. Well, at Brazen we want programmers to fail, then dust it off and try again. It certainly isn’t by chance that the words expert and experiment have the same root.

However, as fun as experimenting can be, expertise needs to serve a purpose. Brazen also has the vocation to lend its talents to interesting projects in need of professional assistance. If you have an idea that you believe could benefit from a tried and true development team, keep us in mind. For a chat or to learn more about us, feel free to drop by our place (it’s not small, it’s cozy ;-) or contact-us. We would be glad to meet you.

We like to think anything is possible, though we’re aware there’s work involved. The word brazen embodies the attitude we want to have in the face of adversity, having it as a name will serve as a reminder whenever the easy way out gets tempting.

See you soon.
